December 2007
January - March -  The Moosehead Lake Region offers some of the finest groomed snowmobile trials and some of the best ice fishing on Maine’s largest lake.  The lake, once frozen, is also a great place to snowmobile.
Cross-country ski trails are also available.

** Check our website often for weather updates -- many times there’s plenty of snow to ride on here when there’s none in other areas.
** Check back for information on our upcoming ice fishing derby.

May 1st - Fishing Season opens for open water and fly fishing.  Fish Moosehead Lake or any one of our beautiful rivers and streams, or troll the Moose River.  (Use our free boat launch behind the store).
May is also a great time for moose watching.  There are always frequent sightings this time of year.

June - August -  There are many outdoor activities to enjoy, including hiking, camping, boating, tubing and water skiing.  Or just relax and enjoy the beauty and serenity our area has to offer.
For the hunters - bear hunting starts late August.

September - Great fly-fishing at the Brassua Dam Runoff and the East and West Outlets.  Also, the leaves are already starting to change.

October - Fall foliage is in full swing this time of year.
Small game hunting starts October 1st, including partridge and woodcock.  Moose hunting season in the Moosehead Lake Region opens October 8th.

November - Deer hunting opens late October and runs through the end of November.  The Moosehead Lake Region offers some of the most vast areas to hunt in the United States.
